Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Naseem Hamed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyo Kurosaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurosaki has chosen Machiavellism - Dir En Grey as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Naseem Hamed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyo Kurosaki!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamed misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hamed takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hamed fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hamed loads up on a big right hand but Kurosaki slips the punch.
Kurosaki misses with a right hand
and Hamed counters with a good low kick that Kurosaki was not able to check.
Kurosaki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hamed circles away.
Kurosaki keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hamed throws a head kick that misses.
Hamed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kurosaki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hamed.
Kurosaki connects with the punch.
Hamed fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hamed wants to clinch up but Kurosaki keeps it at a distance.
Kurosaki misses with a looping left.

Hamed has Kurosaki up against the cage in a clinch.
Hamed misses with an elbow over the top.
Hamed fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hamed is trying to stall.
Kurosaki wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kurosaki tries to score a body lock takedown but Hamed shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kurosaki wants to take the fight to the mat but Hamed manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Naseem Hamed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyo Kurosaki.
Hamed tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kurosaki's elbow.
Hamed lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Hamed tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kurosaki smiles and moves away.
Naseem Hamed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hamed scores with a nice right hand.
Kurosaki scores with a nice head shot.
Hamed swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kurosaki.
Kurosaki uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hamed.
Hamed slips a jab from Kurosaki.

Hamed clinches.
Hamed lands an uppercut.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hamed creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hamed wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hamed goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hamed pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Kurosaki is looking for a takedown.
Kurosaki can't get the takedown.
Hamed lands with a left to the head.
Nice elbow from Hamed.


It looks like Kyo Kurosaki has been cut.
Kurosaki lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hamed backwards.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kurosaki creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hamed looking to slow down the pace here.

Kurosaki is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hamed can't fight it off and eventually Kurosaki manages to take the fight to the floor. Hamed looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kurosaki distracts Hamed with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kurosaki throws a big elbow that misses.
Kurosaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Hamed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hamed on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hamed tries to get out of the position.
Kurosaki sitting in guard here, content to control.
Kurosaki is working Hamed over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Kurosaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hamed swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kurosaki postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hamed avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kurosaki content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kurosaki stands up and waves to Hamed to follow him.
A head kick misses from Hamed.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hamed tries to clinch up

so Kurosaki counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Hamed has managed to clinch.
Hamed fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Kurosaki changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hamed fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kurosaki misses with a straight left.
Hamed stuffs the takedown attempt from Kurosaki. Kurosaki gets slowly back to his feet.
Hamed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hamed thumps Kurosaki with a low kick.
Hamed misses with a few strikes there.

Hamed closes the distance and pushes Kurosaki back into the cage.

Kurosaki works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Hamed wants to get back to his feet but Kurosaki is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kurosaki forces his way into half guard.
Kurosaki works his way into side control.
Kurosaki in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Hamed takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Kurosaki throwing strikes but Hamed manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Kurosaki manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Kurosaki manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Kurosaki swats away the attempt to clinch by Hamed.
Kurosaki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Naseem Hamed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hamed throws a nice looking combination but Kurosaki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hamed scores with a sloppy right hand. Kurosaki should have avoided that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sloppy strikes from Kurosaki. Those never looked like landing.
Hamed tries to clinch there but Kurosaki circles away.
Kurosaki throws a body punch but Hamed moves out of range.
Kurosaki's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kurosaki duly obliges.

Hamed moves in looking to clinch but Kurosaki pushes him off.
Kurosaki throws the left hand but Hamed avoids the punch easily.
Kurosaki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hamed was well out of range. Poor timing from Kurosaki.
Kurosaki has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hamed fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kurosaki shoots in and gets a takedown into Hamed's guard.
Kurosaki trying to control but Hamed is working from the bottom.
Hamed controls Kurosaki momentarily but Kurosaki frees himself.

Kurosaki wants to control from the top but Hamed keeps moving.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kurosaki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hamed is keeping the position for now.
Kurosaki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kurosaki missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kyo Kurosaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hamed tries to clinch there but Kurosaki circles away.

Kurosaki feints and as Hamed raises his hands in defense, Kurosaki changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hamed utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kurosaki won't allow Hamed to sweep him here.
Kurosaki chips away with some ground and pound.
Hamed keeping full guard, as Kurosaki tries to pass.
Kyo Kurosaki has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kurosaki advances position into side control!

Kurosaki works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Kurosaki scoring with punches and elbows.


Hamed is rocked!
A big shot lands for Kurosaki! That's hurt Hamed! Will he recover? Kurosaki fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyo Kurosaki!
After winning the bout, Kyo Kurosaki thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
