Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alessandro Maximilian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juan Punchd!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Punchd is defended easily by Maximilian.
Maximilian lands a leg kick that knocks Punchd off balance momentarily.
Punchd throws a push kick but Maximilian slaps the foot to one side.
Maximilian looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Maximilian misses with a low kick.
Maximilian leaves Punchd with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Punchd sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Maximilian connects with a body shot that sends Punchd's belly button to the back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Punchd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maximilian swivels and escapes.
Alessandro Maximilian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Punchd.
Punchd fails to land the takedown.
Maximilian moves out of range of the leg kick from Punchd.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Horrible takedown by Punchd or perhaps it was just good defense by Maximilian which made him look bad.
Maximilian moves into range and connects with a jab.
Maximilian with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Punchd throws a head kick that misses.
Punchd looks winded!
Punchd takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Maximilian clobbers Punchd with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Maximilian lands with a thumping leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Punchd tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Whack! Maximilian lands a heavy head kick that drops Punchd. The ref tackles Maximilian to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Punchd was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Alessandro Maximilian!
