Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomi Koski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonny Do! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koski tries to land a front kick but Do steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Koski ducks under a wild hook from Do. A leg kick checked by Koski. Koski looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Do on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Jonny Do has been cut. That kick from Koski tenderised Do's leg. Do is trying to keep his angry face on. Koski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Koski throws a shot to the body.
No luck for Do with that takedown attempt. Do throws a low kick but Koski moves out of range easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Koski feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Do's calf. Koski bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Do's head. Koski just misses with a punch to the body.

Do walks forward, straight into a front kick from Koski. A jab from Koski finds it's way through Do's defenses. Koski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Do sees it coming and avoids it easily. Do throws a leg kick and Koski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Do throws a lazy right hand but Koski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Koski darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Koski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Do moves away. Koski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Do has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Donk. Koski catches Do right on the button with a cross. Do turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Do closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Do lands in his opponent's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Koski is trying to keep Do in close.
Koski is looking for a triangle here but Do uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Do working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Do wants to take a breather but Koski manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Do. Koski tries to land a sweep but no joy. Do is looking to work some ground and pound but Koski has wrist control. Koski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Koski has control of Do's left arm, preventing Do from doing any damage. Do in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Do lands a couple of digs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koski working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Do. Koski is trying to control the position but Do postures up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Koski holds on and takes a little breather. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Koski trying to control the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Tomi Koski wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Nice jab there from Koski. Koski scores with a shot to the body.
Do misses the shot to the body. Koski scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Do tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Koski was well out of range. Poor timing from Do. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Do misses with a body kick. Koski scores with a sloppy right hand. Do should have avoided that one.
That has opened up Jonny Do's cut even more. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Koski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Koski tries to work over Do's front leg with a kick but Do checks it. Do avoids the head kick by Koski.
Do with a body punch. A glancing blow. Tomi Koski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Do throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Koski tests Do's chin there with a solid looking shot. Koski scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Koski is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Koski stuffs the takedown. Koski connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Koski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Do scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Koski turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Koski checks a leg kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Koski lands with a nice body kick. Do looks to land a left hand but Koski moved out of range nicely. Koski lands with a kick to the temple. Do shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Koski attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tomi Koski dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jonny Do's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Koski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A momentary lapse in concentration from Koski enables Do to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Koski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Koski looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Do works a leg free and moves into half guard. Do thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Koski's head. Koski is looking to control Do's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Koski avoid being mounted? Do is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Do working Koski over with strikes. Do throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Do lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Do not landing any meaningful shots this time. Do is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Koski reverses the position - he's now on top in Do's guard. Koski trying to control the position from guard on top but Do is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koski is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Do is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tomi Koski. Do bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! Koski throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Do misses with a right hand and Koski counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Do thinking. Koski buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Koski!
Do scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Koski will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Koski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Do on the side of the head. Koski misses with an uppercut. Do uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Koski.
Jonny Do seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Koski has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Do finds it's way round the side to connect with Koski's head. Koski slips a jab from Do. An inside leg kick from Koski misses. Do misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Koski lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Koski misses with a looping right. Koski jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Do throws out a loose jab but Koski uses good head movement to avoid it. Koski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Do stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Koski throws a quick inside leg kick. Koski digs a good body shot into Do's ribs. Koski ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Do is breathing heavily. Do throws a head kick that misses. Koski throws a hook to the side of Do's head but Do sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Koski throws a head kick that half lands.
Nice defenses there by Koski. Do blocks a low kick nicely. Tomi Koski is winning the standup battle so far. Koski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The cut above Jonny Do's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Do misses the jab. Koski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Do manages to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tomi Koski dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jonny Do's cut. That's time! Koski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Koski. A good leg kick by Koski. Koski paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Koski moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Koski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Do. A shot to the liver by Do. Beautiful body shot. Koski finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Koski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Do looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Koski throws a body kick that misses. Do uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Koski.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Koski scores with a leg kick.
Koski lands a nice leg kick that just misses Do's sensitive parts. Koski fakes the leg kick and cracks Do in the body. An inside leg kick lands from Koski. That kick from Koski tenderised Do's leg. Do is trying to keep his angry face on. Do takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Koski throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koski throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Koski throws a shot to the body.

Do throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Koski thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Do if he has to take too many more of those.

Do waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Koski. Koski throws a sloppy head kick and Do moves out of range easily. Koski shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Koski fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koski throws a push kick but Do slaps the foot to one side. Koski tries to sprawl but Do drives through with a takedown into half guard. Koski is looking to control Do's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Koski avoid being mounted? Koski is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Koski gets back to full guard.
Koski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Koski trying to keep a closed guard but Do is proving a slippery customer.
Do working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koski being controlled here, momentarily. Koski looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Do has picked Koski up and slammed him! Koski can't keep hold of the triangle and Do manages to pass to side control! Koski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Do can do to turn this around? Do working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Do swings around for an armbar but Koski sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Do's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Do being controlled here, momentarily. Jonny Do has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Koski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Tomi Koski showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Koski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
