Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dergah Sucu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sucu fails with a takedown attempt.
Sucu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nunes.
Nunes displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Dergah Sucu has been cut.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Nunes wants to control the pace but Sucu is squirming around nicely.

Nunes connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sucu is in a horrible position here. Nunes smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Sucu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nunes trying to control but Sucu is having none of it.
Nunes is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sucu has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sucu!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nunes darts in and clinches Sucu up against the cage.
Nunes jumps guard but Sucu stands there with Nunes around his waist. Nunes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Nunes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sucu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nunes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Nunes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sucu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sucu wants to get up but he can't break Nunes's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Nunes scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sucu throws a leg kick but Nunes checks it.
Sucu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sucu is defended easily by Nunes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nunes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Nunes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sucu tries to avoid it but Nunes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sucu to the ground. Sucu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dergah Sucu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hugo Nunes.
Nunes tries to close the distance and clinch but Sucu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Nunes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nunes.
Nunes goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Sucu tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nunes smiles and moves away.
Sucu stuffs the takedown.

Sucu shoots in and drives through. Nunes sprawls well.
Hugo Nunes seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nunes drives through and clinches with Sucu against the cage.
Sucu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nunes walks away with a smile on his face. Sucu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nunes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sucu's waist but Sucu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nunes off to one side.
Nunes tries for a takedown but Sucu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sucu dives in and grabs Nunes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nunes pushes down on Sucu's head and hops out.
Nunes clinches with his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sucu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nunes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nunes lands in his opponent's guard.
Dergah Sucu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hugo Nunes is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hugo Nunes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nunes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
