Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabriel Rhababer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Master Po!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhababer fails in his attempt to clinch.
Po shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rhababer pinned against the cage. Rhababer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rhababer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rhababer turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rhababer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Po as he jumps to the side.
Po shoots in but no luck this time.

Po tries to sprawl but Rhababer drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Po is trying to stand back up but Rhababer is controlling him
Po really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rhababer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Po wants to control but Rhababer is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rhababer content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Po is trying to control but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Po has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rhababer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Po.
Rhababer is looking to take a break and control but Po is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rhababer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Po has escaped the position, nice work there.

Po takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Rhababer wants to finish this one by submission but Po is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rhababer.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee warns Po that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Po is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rhababer.

Nice takedown defense from Po. No joy for Rhababer on that attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
