Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Winjkin William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Watt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watt has chosen 30 Seconds To Mars - Closer To The Edge as his entrance music. Winjkin William could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derek Watt's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
William checks a leg kick nicely.
William throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Watt.
A solid leg kick lands there for William.
William tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Watt was well out of range. Poor timing from William.
William avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
William steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Watt.
Watt paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Watt wants to slow William down by chopping away at his legs.
William throws a lazy uppercut
and Watt counters with a nice low kick that buckles William's knee momentarily.

William tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

William uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Watt.
Watt buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

William closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - William lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Watt has momentary wrist control but William slips an elbow through the middle.
William stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Watt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

William is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Watt doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time William.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Watt instigates a clinch.

William is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Watt is keeping busy.
Watt swings wildly with an uppercut but William uses good head movement to avoid it.
William digs a right hand underneath Watt's ribcage. Watt let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Watt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Watt catches William with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Watt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
William shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

William feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
William would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

William lands a couple of decent looking shots.
William slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
William throws an elbow that misses. Watt uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in William's guard. Nice move by Watt!

Good leg kick by Watt there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The referee is keeping an eye on Watt - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

William is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Watt gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
William's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
