The crowd seem to be enjoying Man's choice of entrance music: All My Life. Joe Man has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Whizzer Oz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Whizzer Oz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Man!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Man paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Oz tries to clinch up.
Oz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Man misses with a takedown attempt - Oz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Oz is looking to clinch.
The fighters circling - Oz throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Oz lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Man backs up against the cage.
Oz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Oz thuds a left hand into Man's body.
Oz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Oz wants to clinch up but Man keeps it at a distance.
Oz throws a good cross that connects.
Whizzer Oz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Oz tries to clinch there but Man circles away.
Oz wants to clinch.
Man circles away from the clinch attempt.
Oz wants to clinch up but Man keeps it at a distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Oz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Oz misses with a few strikes there.
Oz tries to close the distance and clinch but Man swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Oz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Oz gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Man tries to pull guard but Oz holds him up against the cage and eventually Man drops back down to his feet.

Oz breaks from the clinch.
Oz tries to clinch there but Man circles away.
Man takes a jab right on the kisser.
Man keeps the fight on the outside.
Oz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Oz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Man.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Man manages to avoid it.
Oz misses with a few strikes there.
Oz tries to clinch but Man is having none of it.

Man tries to keep at a distance but Oz has taken the fight into the clinch.
Oz gets underhooks to prevent Man's takedown attempt.
Whizzer Oz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Man.
Oz prevents a takedown attempt there.
Oz scores with a shoulder strike.
Man tries to pull guard but Oz holds him up against the cage and eventually Man drops back down to his feet.
Man is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Oz pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Man tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Man wants a takedown.
Oz is trying to break the clinch but Man has him pressed against the cage.
Oz lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Man backwards.
Oz has had enough of the clinch but Man keeps him there for the moment.

Man jumps guard but Oz stands there with Man around his waist. Man gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Man looks gassed!
Oz stops a takedown attempt from Man.
Oz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Man has him pressed against the cage.
Oz working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Oz tries to break the clinch but Man is controlling the position.
Oz prevents a takedown attempt there.

Oz manages to break the clinch.
Oz showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Man.
Oz throws a left that rocks Man and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Oz dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Man regain composure!


Man is rocked!


It looks like Joe Man has been cut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Oz controls the position.
Man takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Oz scoring with punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Whizzer Oz dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Joe Man's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Oz wants to clinch.
Oz misses the shot to the body.
Oz scores with a jab. Man acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Man fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Oz sprawls well initially but Man persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Oz wants to get back to his feet.
Oz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Man on the ground.
Man is breathing heavily.
Oz is looking to get back to is feet but Man passes into side control.
Man is looking to take a break and control but Oz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Oz is trying to control Man's posture but Man avoids it.

Man moves into full mount!

Man looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Oz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Oz is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oz tries to hold on but Man postures up.
Oz regains half guard.
Man is looking to advance position but Oz won't allow it.
Oz wants to improve his position but Man is controlling well.
Man working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Oz's thigh. Oz counters though and makes it back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oz wants to stand up but Man is controlling him.
Man pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Oz is keeping the position for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Oz fails in his attempt to clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Oz closes the distance and clinches.
Oz is trying to break the clinch but Man has him pressed against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Oz.
Man goes for a takedown in the clinch but Oz prevents it.
Oz is trying to break the clinch but Man has him pressed against the cage.
Man's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Oz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Oz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oz is looking to clinch but Man is avoiding it.
Oz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Oz is looking to clinch.
Whizzer Oz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Man takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Whizzer Oz dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Joe Man's cut.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Oz clinches.

Man breaks the clinch.
Oz doesn't manage to clinch there - Man circles away.
Oz wants to clinch.
Oz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Man swats away the attempt to clinch by Oz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oz tries to clinch there but Man circles away.
Man has a takedown stuffed.
Man tries for a takedown but Oz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Oz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Man tries to clinch but Oz moves out of range.
Whizzer Oz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Man changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Man working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Man trying to control the action but Oz is working from the bottom.

Oz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Man off and has taken his back!
Oz has the hooks in. Man is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Man takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Man is taking damage to the body and head.
Oz is riding his opponent, not letting Man buck him off.
Man tries to break free.
Man is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Man trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oz tries to get the hooks in deep but Man pushed the leg off.

Oz scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Man is looking for a way out.
Oz cracks Man with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Man from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Oz scores with punches from the back.
Oz not allowing Man to control his hands.
Oz lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Oz wants to control but Man is keeping busy.
Man covers up after that shot from Oz.
Oz throwing damaging strikes from the back! Man could be in trouble here!
Man is trying to break free.

Good control from Oz.
Oz tries to keep control of the position but Man is staying busy.
Oz is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Joe Man has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Man is really stuck here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well Oz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
