Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gstring Borad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Krillin Kai!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kai takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kai shoots in but no luck this time.
Borad scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Borad scores with a jab to the body.
Borad clobbers Kai with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kai misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kai tries to close the distance and clinch up but Borad swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Borad moves in looking to clinch but Kai pushes him off.
Borad moves into the clinch successfully.
Kai drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Borad gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gstring Borad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krillin Kai.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Borad tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Borad misses with a knee strike.
The referee is keeping an eye on Kai - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Kai takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Krillin Kai has been cut.
Borad lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Kai effectively controlling the action here.
Borad stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Kai wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Kai is looking to break free of the clinch but Borad has double underhooks.
Kai tries for a takedown. No joy.
Borad tries to land knees in the clinch but Kai avoids the damage to the body.
Kai managing to block the knees to the body from Borad.
Borad trying to control the position but instead, Kai has worked for underhooks and has pushed Borad into the cage.
Kai fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Borad is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kai is defending well for now.
Borad lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Borad with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Borad misses with an elbow over the top.
Kai jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Borad walks away with a smile on his face. Kai gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Borad fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Borad misses the shot to the body.
Donk. Borad catches Kai right on the button with a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Borad throws a body punch but Kai moves out of range.
Borad is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A slow jab from Borad misses its intended target.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Borad misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kai throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Borad was covering up waiting for the punch and Kai finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kai stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Borad throws up his legs and catches Kai in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Kai tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Borad! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Gstring Borad!
