Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johny Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks closes the distance and pushes Sullivan back into the cage.
Sullivan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Hendricks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sullivan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Sullivan with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hendricks counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hendricks.
A frustrated look appears on Sullivan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hendricks manages to break the clinch.
Sullivan tries to close the distance and clinch but Hendricks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hendricks lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sullivan shoots in looking for a takedown but Hendricks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sullivan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Johny Hendricks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Sullivan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hendricks drops Sullivan with a straight right hand, right on the button! Hendricks follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johny Hendricks!
An out of breath Johny Hendricks thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
