Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Joe Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mudah Phakaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mudah Phakaw is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Chang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mudah Phakaw! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phakaw gets in close and instigates a clinch. Phakaw with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Joe Chang has been cut. Phakaw lands an elbow inside. Chang letting Phakaw take a breather here. Phakaw breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Phakaw looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Phakaw scores with a body shot.
Chang doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Phakaw fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Chang looks to land a body kick but Phakaw moved away. Chang ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Phakaw moves away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Phakaw will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Phakaw tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Chang manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Chang looking to land some kicks to the body here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chang takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Phakaw lands a jab to Chang's midsection. Phakaw throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Mudah Phakaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chang scores with a punch to the head. Phakaw connects with an inside leg kick. Phakaw gets a clinch. Phakaw breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Chang takes an elbow to the forehead. Chang tries to land knees in the clinch but Phakaw avoids the damage to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chang is trying to break the clinch but Phakaw has him pressed against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chang pushes Phakaw back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. Chang has a couple of punches blocked by Phakaw.
Phakaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Phakaw makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Phakaw throws a head kick that misses. Chang throws a solid leg kick but Phakaw takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Chang. Phakaw takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Chang really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fighters circling - Phakaw throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Phakaw cracks the inside of Chang's front leg. Chang tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. A looping hook to the body misses from Chang. Phakaw does a little dance to reset his feet. Phakaw gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Chang lands a left hand.

Chang takes a body punch but keeps moving. Chang throws a leg kick but Phakaw moved away. Chang misses with an uppercut. Phakaw saw that one coming. Phakaw throws a nice looking combination but Chang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Phakaw looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A lazy body kick from Phakaw and Chang counters with a left to the body. Chang looks to score with a jab to the body but Phakaw is just out of range. Phakaw ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Phakaw throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. A combination from Chang does no damage. Chang lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Phakaw clinches. Phakaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Chang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Phakaw throws a body kick that misses. Chang motions for Phakaw to come forward. Chang throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Chang just misses with a punch to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Phakaw goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Chang takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Chang on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. A slapping leg kick lands for Phakaw.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Phakaw throws a body kick that misses enabling Chang to counter with a crisp jab. Phakaw throws a leg kick which misses Chang's front leg but catches the back leg as Chang tries to avoid it. Phakaw misses with a straight right. Phakaw scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mudah Phakaw dominated that round. The cut man is working on Joe Chang's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Chang swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Chang throws an overhand right that lands on Phakaw's shoulder, as Phakaw tries to avoid the shot. enabling Chang to counter with a crisp jab. A nice inside leg kick there by Phakaw. That's going to slow Chang down. Phakaw throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Chang misses with a body shot

That's two minutes gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Chang's face as he tries to break the clinch. Phakaw breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Phakaw uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chang. Chang misses the jab. Chang throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Phakaw sees it coming and avoids it easily. Chang lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mudah Phakaw seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chang throws out a leg kick but Phakaw moves out of range and Chang only half commits. Phakaw fails in his attempt to clinch. A head kick by Phakaw misses and Chang connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Chang throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Phakaw jabs at Chang's body. Chang ducks under a wild hook from Phakaw. Mudah Phakaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Phakaw moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Chang misses with a low kick as Phakaw jumps back.

Phakaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Phakaw instigates a clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Chang just misses with a elbow thrown towards Phakaw's brow. Phakaw breaks the clinch.

Nice straight punches there by Phakaw. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Phakaw. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chang misses with a head kick.
Phakaw feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Changs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Phakaw lands a nice leg kick that just misses Chang's sensitive parts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mudah Phakaw showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Joe Chang's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Chang walks forward, straight into a front kick from Phakaw. A leg kick checked by Chang. Chang is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Phakaw. Nice defenses there by Phakaw. Phakaw throws a low kick but it's checked well by Chang. Phakaw fails to land with a series of punches.

And that's the end of the fight! Mudah Phakaw comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Phakaw has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
