Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raymond scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Basescu looks to land a combination but Raymond avoids it well.
Raymond looks to throw the jab but Basescu is out of range.
Basescu keeps the fight on the outside.
Raymond takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Raymond throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Basescu's waist but Basescu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Raymond off to one side.

Raymond working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Basescu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Basescu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Raymond had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Basescu defends it easily.

Traian Basescu dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Basescu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Raymond did well to prevent Basescu getting side control.

Basescu seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Basescu is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Raymond closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Basescu tries for a takedown but Raymond sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Basescu feints and as Raymond raises his hands in defense, Basescu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Basescu.

and Basescu counters with a nice low kick that buckles Raymond's knee momentarily.

Traian Basescu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Raymond's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Raymond takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Raymond stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Raymond wants it to stay on the feet.

Basescu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Raymond moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Raymond is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Basescu tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Raymond just stands there and leans against the cage.

Gaige Raymond has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Traian Basescu is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Basescu has picked Raymond up - he's going for a ride! Basescu dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Basescu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Raymond does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Traian Basescu.
I've got Basescu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
