Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Suave Ripkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Santz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Suave Ripkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Santz!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ripkin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Santz wants to improve his position but Ripkin is controlling well.

Ripkin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Ripkin is looking for a kimura but Santz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ripkin to get the leverage.
Ripkin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Ripkin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Ripkin is working for a submission of some sort.

Santz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jose Santz dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Santz misses with a series of wild punches.
Ripkin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Santz connects with a nice looking jab.


It looks like Suave Ripkin has been cut.

Santz lands a big right hand that sends Ripkin crashing to the mat! Santz stays standing though and waves Ripkin back to his feet!


Ripkin is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Santz fakes the body blow, causing Ripkin to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Ripkin goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jose Santz!
Jose Santz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
