The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sand gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Shamaani shoots for a double leg takedown but Sand sprawls well. He's pushed Shamaani's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sand tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shamaani paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sand looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sand is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Shamaani takes a knee right on the jaw!


Shamaani is rocked!

Sand pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shamaani is still on wobbly legs! Can Sand finish him?

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shamaani jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sand walks away with a smile on his face. Shamaani gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sand rushes Shamaani and presses him up against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sand.
Sand is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
A knee to the head by Sand.
Sand pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Shamaani! Sand unloads with more strikes and Shamaani sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samu Sand!
A relieved looking Samu Sand thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
