Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ethen Kanven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and B Ron Trilliss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ethen Kanven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, B Ron Trilliss! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kanven doesn't succeed with the takedown and Trilliss counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Kanven checks the leg kick. Trilliss gets a double leg takedown into Kanven's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kanven is on top in guard.
Kanven trying to control the position from guard on top but Trilliss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trilliss wants to get back to his feet but Kanven is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Trilliss has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kanven off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Trilliss throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
B Ron Trilliss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Trilliss throws a solid leg kick but Kanven takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Trilliss. Kanven really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Trilliss swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kanven dodges the punch combination from Trilliss.
Trilliss throws a combination that misses and Kanven counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kanven checks a low kick from Trilliss. Kanven misses with a double jab
so Trilliss counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trilliss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Trilliss landing some decent shots from guard. Trilliss lands a couple of digs. Trilliss is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Trilliss trying to control but Kanven is working from the bottom. Trilliss is stalling in the full guard. Kanven wants to sweep here but Trilliss controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kanven trying to keep a closed guard but Trilliss is proving a slippery customer.
Kanven is working an open guard so Trilliss takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kanven looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Trilliss throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kanven. Kanven checks a low kick from Trilliss. Trilliss will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kanven. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethen Kanven. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kanven is breathing heavily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Trilliss. Trilliss looks up at the clock and then as Kanven takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Trilliss smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Check out the look on Trilliss's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Trilliss lands a few punches from side control. Trilliss tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Trilliss has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Trilliss wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kanven keeps working. Trilliss scoring with punches and elbows. Trilliss has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Trilliss working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Kanven on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Trilliss in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trilliss decides to stand back up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Trilliss closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kanven to the mat! Kanven manages to get full guard. Trilliss gets to his feet - Kanven follows without any prompting. Trilliss shoots in and bounces Kanven off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Trilliss with a nice head shot there. Trilliss working some strikes from top position. Trilliss gets to his feet. Kanven looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Trilliss feints and then cracks Kanven's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kanven down. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Trilliss misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kanven is looking to clinch but Trilliss is avoiding it.
Trilliss shoots in and gets a takedown into Kanven's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
B Ron Trilliss dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kanven fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Trilliss tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kanven is able to avoid easily. Trilliss closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kanven did well to prevent Trilliss getting side control. Trilliss working the head and body with strikes. Trilliss wants to pass the guard but Kanven is defending well. Trilliss content to control rather than advance. Trilliss looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kanven with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Trilliss lands strikes from half guard. Kanven won't allow Trilliss to pass to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trilliss controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trilliss in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kanven tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Trilliss!
