Whitehead tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vrakas smiles and moves away.

Vrakas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Vrakas darts in and clinches Whitehead up against the cage.

Whitehead pulls Vrakas into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vrakas would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Vrakas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Whitehead working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vrakas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vrakas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Whitehead looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Vrakas is defending well. Whitehead quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Vrakas has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Whitehead celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
