The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Barnes.
Barnes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Barnes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Barnes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Emelianenko can pounce on him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Andre Barnes will probably get the nod.
