The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shamrock shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Colver but Colver pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Shamrock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shamrock tries to land a front kick but Colver steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Colver swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Colver wants to clinch up but Shamrock keeps it at a distance. Shamrock closes the distance looking to clinch and Colver counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shamrock won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colver landing a few strikes. Colver works to advance to full mount. Shamrock defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Colver landing punches. Shamrock is breathing heavily. Shamrock is trying to escape the mount.

Colver cracks Shamrock with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
