PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vahid Sagyndykov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sean Thompson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vahid Sagyndykov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sagyndykov closes the distance and pushes Thompson back into the cage.
Thompson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sagyndykov prevents Thompson from breaking the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Thompson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Thompson wants to get back to striking at distance but Sagyndykov won't allow it.
Thompson is pressed up against the cage. Sagyndykov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thompson down to the mat. Thompson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Thompson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Sagyndykov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thompson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Thompson is trying to escape the position but Sagyndykov is controlling the position.

Sagyndykov is working to tighten is grip on Thompson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Thompson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sagyndykov is really squeezing tight and eventually Thompson passes out! Sagyndykov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
