Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reginaldo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A big left from James misses.
Silva connects with a high kick.
It looks like Alex James has been cut.
James jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Silva lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva clinches.
James has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
James has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Silva after a bit of a struggle.
Silva cracks James with a nice body shot.
James is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Reginaldo Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex James.
Silva gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, James regains guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

James throws an elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Silva!
James wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position.

Silva throws a strike but James rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
James drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now James has Silva in his guard.
Silva passes James's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
James tries to get to full guard but Silva has control of the leg.

James pushes Silva off but Silva dives into side control.

Silva connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused James some visible discomfort.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva lands a nice forearm strike.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
James is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silva is controlling him well.
Silva scores with punches from side control.
Silva scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh James is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Silva can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

A less than humble Reginaldo Silva misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
