Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex James!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killjoy moves into range and clinches up with James.
James tries to score a body lock takedown but Killjoy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

James shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
James is nestled in close to Killjoy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

James is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

James misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Killjoy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James unloads with some shots from mount but Killjoy bucks and avoids them well.
Killjoy wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by James.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Killjoy is in a horrible position here. James smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
James sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Killjoy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
James shoots in and drives through. Killjoy sprawls well.
James throws a series of punches but Killjoy avoids them all with ease.

Killjoy tries to bum rush James with a series of wild strikes but James uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
James shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Killjoy defends it nicely.

James takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Killjoy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Killjoy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
James is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Killjoy.

Killjoy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jab, jab by Killjoy - just one landing.
Killjoy scores with a one two! James had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Alex James has been cut.
James jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Killjoy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. James manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Killjoy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Killjoy.

James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Killjoy pinned against the cage. Killjoy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Killjoy lands with a shot to the body.

Killjoy throws a leg kick which misses James's front leg but catches the back leg as James tries to avoid it.
Killjoy lands a nice leg kick that just misses James's sensitive parts.
Killjoy moves in looking to clinch but James pushes him off.

No luck for James with that takedown attempt.
Killjoy throws a leg kick but James moved away.
Killjoy cracks James with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
James tries to free his leg and advance position but Killjoy is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
