The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sypher pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Talon Sypher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sypher rushes Tugarinov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sypher gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tugarinov regains guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sypher scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Sypher throws a big right hand that misses.
Sypher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tugarinov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sypher has managed to get both his arms back between Tugarinov's legs - danger averted.
Tugarinov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tugarinov looking for a guillotine here but Sypher defends easily.

Sypher postures up and lands a big shot to Tugarinov's brow.
Sypher content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Tugarinov working for a triangle but Sypher defends it easily.
Tugarinov keeping moving, preventing Sypher from controlling successfully.

Sypher must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sypher lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Sypher makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Tugarinov looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Sypher is defending well. Tugarinov quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Sypher has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Tugarinov celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
