Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bane throws a head kick but Papsevs moves out of range.
Papsevs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bane sprawls well. Bane wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Papsevs gets slowly back to his feet.

Papsevs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bane's guard.
Bane wants to get back to his feet but Papsevs is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Papsevs is stalling in the full guard.
Bane is looking to stand back up but Papsevs counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bane.
Papsevs works his way into full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Papsevs looking to control and managing it successfully.
Bane squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Papsevs is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Bane closes the distance looking to clinch

so Papsevs counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Papsevs chips away with some ground and pound.
Bane wants to stand up but Papsevs is controlling him.
Papsevs slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Papsevs stands and throws Bane's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bane is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Papsevs is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Bane looks calm but he's in trouble here. Papsevs gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Bane is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Papsevs lets go of the hold and Bane can pop his arm back in it's socket.
