Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reiner Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes to the cage accompanied by Thrift Shop. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eduardo Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Reiner Long! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez lands with a nice body punch. Long tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sanchez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Long avoids it really well and circles away. Sanchez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Sanchez blocks a head kick by Long.

Long takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Sanchez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Long fails in his attempt to clinch. Sanchez tries to sprawl but Long drives through with a takedown into half guard. Long stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Sanchez to get to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Long shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanchez sprawls well. He's pushed Long's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez digs a good hook to Long's body.

Long manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Long is controlling Sanchez's posture. Sanchez throws an elbow that misses. Long uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sanchez's guard. Nice move by Long! Sanchez uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Long looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Long takes one to the chin there. Sanchez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Long on the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Long is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sanchez's half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Long moves nicely into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez is pushing Long's head away, looking to escape. Long manages to hold on to the position though. Will he manage to finish Sanchez?
Long has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sanchez wants to hold on but Long pushes him away. Long looking to secure an arm triangle but Sanchez defends it well.

Long is in the full mount, landing strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Long is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sanchez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sanchez shrugs it off. Long content just to control the position here. Long with a couple of short strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Long dominating with strikes here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Long lands a big shot there that rocks Sanchez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Reiner Long dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Long fails with a takedown attempt. Sanchez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Long's head backwards. Sanchez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Long at a distance.
Reiner Long is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sanchez moves into range and connects with a jab. Long shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sanchez counters with a lovely shot to the body. Long looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sanchez is fending him off so far but Long persists. Nope, Sanchez circles away and we're back to standing. Eduardo Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reiner Long. An inside leg kick lands from Sanchez. Long throws a wild body kick that Sanchez sees coming a mile off. Sanchez moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Long shoots in for a double leg but Sanchez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Long misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sanchez is looking to wear down Long with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Long is breathing heavily. Long will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sanchez scores with a nice right hand.
Sanchez listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Sanchez lunges at Long with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Long's hand. Long is looking to clinch but Sanchez is avoiding it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sanchez. Long shoots in for a double leg but Sanchez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Long has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sanchez. Nice sprawl there from Sanchez as Long shoots in. Sanchez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez thows a huge punch but Long dodges it nicely.

Sanchez wants to pass to mount but Long is defending the position. Sanchez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Long is just riding it out for now. Sanchez eventually gives up the hold. Long controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Sanchez wants to work for an arm triangle but Long is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez trying to pass the guard but Long defending well. Long manages to get to full guard.
Long bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanchez's guard. Long not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Long advances position into side control! Long decides to stand back up. Long steps back and let's Sanchez get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Long throws a head kick but Sanchez moves out of range.
Long looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sanchez is trying to stand up here but Long is controlling him well. Long escapes and gets back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Long is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sanchez's half guard. Sanchez scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Long manages to mount him!
Long working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Sanchez looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Long! Submission of the night perhaps?
