Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Love Chauhan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Hope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Love Chauhan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonathan Hope!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chauhan slips under a jab.
Hope tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chauhan swivels and escapes.
Chauhan misses the shot to the body.
Chauhan thumps Hope with a low kick.
Chauhan thows a body kick. Hope tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Chauhan scores with a nice right hand.
Hope tries to bum rush Chauhan with a series of wild strikes but Chauhan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chauhan fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hope shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chauhan sprawls well. Chauhan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hope gets slowly back to his feet.
Hope shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chauhan as he jumps to the side.
Love Chauhan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Hope.
Chauhan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A looping hook to the body misses from Chauhan. Hope does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hope tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Chauhan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chauhan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Chauhan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Chauhan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hope manages to avoid it.
Hope doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Chauhan counters with an inside leg kick.
Jonathan Hope seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hope takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Hope feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hope looks winded!

Hope drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hope jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Chauhan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hope sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chauhan's guard.
Hope throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Chauhan wants to control but Hope is keeping busy.
Chauhan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hope on the ground.
Chauhan wants to control the action here but instead Hope manages to pass to full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chauhan wants to control but Hope is having none of it.
The referee warns Chauhan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hope working the ground and pound effectively.
Hope is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Chauhan is bucking up trying to escape but Hope cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Hope looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Chauhan somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Hope will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hope steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Chauhan. That one must have hurt.
Hope walks forward, straight into a front kick from Chauhan.
Chauhan is looking to wear down Hope with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hope looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Chauhan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Chauhan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hope.
Chauhan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hope.
Hope shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chauhan sprawls well. Chauhan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hope gets slowly back to his feet.
Hope looks to land a left hand but Chauhan moved out of range nicely.
Hope tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chauhan swivels and escapes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chauhan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hope. Hope circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hope shoots in for a takedown but Chauhan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Chauhan bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Chauhan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chauhan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hope.
Chauhan throws a head kick that Hope semi-blocks.
Chauhan with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A head kick misses from Chauhan.
Hope takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Chauhan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hope takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Chauhan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hope.
Hope fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chauhan avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Love Chauhan dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hope takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Hope closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hope has hold of Chauhan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Chauhan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hope cranks the arm and Chauhan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Chauhan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jonathan Hope!
