Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jax Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powers has chosen Black Betty as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kenny Powers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Powers misses.
Powers throws a looping overhand right but Briggs ducks down to avoid it.
Briggs connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Kenny Powers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powers throws a series of punches but Briggs avoids them all with ease.
Oooh a lovely combination from Powers sends Briggs down but not out. Powers dives into side control looking to finish.

Powers is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Briggs asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Briggs seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Powers for as long as he can get away with.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jax Briggs just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Powers takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Powers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Briggs.
