Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muhammad Kango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kango comes into the arena with Everyone Nose blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Muhammad Kango has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Santiago!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Kango looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Santiago's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Kango is looking to control Santiago but Santiago is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Kango has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
It looks like Kango is going to stand back up.
Kango is looking to take a break and control but Santiago is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kango works his foot free and advances to mount.
Kango can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Santiago is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Muhammad Kango will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Muhammad Kango seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santiago is breathing heavily.

Santiago gets caught flat footed, as Kango shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kango has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Santiago is proving hard to escape from.

Santiago looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kango has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Santiago is proving hard to escape from.

Santiago had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kango is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Santiago Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kango's back instead.
I really don't envy Kango right now.

Santiago is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Kango has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Andre Santiago has got the better of the ground game so far.

Santiago has got his arm under Kango's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Kango has spun round into Santiago's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Kango gets to his feet - Santiago follows without any prompting.
Kango misses with a head kick.

Kango closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Santiago works his way to full guard. Good work.

Santiago working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kango doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kango manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Santiago is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kango has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Santiago to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kango is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Santiago pulls down on the head and he's put Kango to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Andre Santiago!
