Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl Kennison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kennison might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 2Pac - My Life Be Like. Williams has chosen Big Bad Wolf by Duck Sauce as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Kennison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Williams!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennison pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Williams fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Williams fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Williams misses with a takedown attempt - Kennison sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Karl Kennison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Williams.

Williams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kennison to the mat! Kennison manages to get full guard.
Williams with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kennison is looking to stand up but Williams isn't so interested in that idea.
Williams seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kennison is pushing Williams's head away, looking to escape. Williams manages to hold on to the position though.
Williams misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Kennison parries the strikes from Williams easily there. Williams is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kennison to escape.
Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Williams is looking to take a break and control but Kennison is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Williams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ground and pound from Williams seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kennison stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kennison wants it to stay on the feet.
Williams dives in and grabs Kennison's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kennison pushes down on Williams's head and hops out.

Williams thows a body shot but no joy.
Williams closes the distance and clinches up with Kennison, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes Kennison against the cage but Kennison circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kennison throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kennison swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Williams.
Williams misses with a looping right.

Williams moves away from the strike by Kennison.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Kennison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kennison.
David Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams throws the kick towards the body but Kennison avoids it.
Williams shoots in and drives through. Kennison sprawls well.
Williams tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kennison lands a leg kick that knocks Williams off balance momentarily.
Williams shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
No luck for Williams with that takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Kennison makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Williams counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kennison lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Williams shoots for a double leg takedown but Kennison sprawls well. He's pushed Williams's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Good leg kick by Williams there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

A close second round but David Williams will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Williams is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kennison.

and Kennison counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kennison takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Williams circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams lands a nice looking body shot.

Williams shoots in for a takedown but Kennison shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Kennison connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kennison takes a jab right on the kisser.
Williams throws the left hand but Kennison avoids the punch easily.
Williams throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Williams shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kennison eats them both and turns towards Williams to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kennison scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Williams fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kennison manages to avoid it.
Williams misses with a straight right.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to David Williams.
I've got Williams winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
