Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Yamasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Gonna Fly Now-Bill Conti. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mario Yamasaki was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mario Yamasaki! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Yamasaki. Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Yamasaki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Yamasaki blocks a leg kick. A punch combination from Yamasaki misses. Yamasaki throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Yamasaki is lucky that one didn't land flush. Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.
Jackson throws a nice inside leg kick. Yamasaki forces Jackson back against the cage and clinches. Yamasaki with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Jackson is looking to break free of the clinch but Yamasaki has double underhooks. Jackson can't break the clinch.
Jackson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Yamasaki has him pressed against the cage. Yamasaki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jackson tries to circle away but Yamasaki has him pinned against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Jackson. Yamasaki keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Yamasaki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yamasaki throws a combination. Jackson tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jackson looks to land a combination but Yamasaki avoids it well. Yamasaki takes a kick to the side of the head. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Yamasaki closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Yamasaki pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Yamasaki lands a jab. Jackson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Yamasaki closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Yamasaki pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Peter Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Yamasaki. Jackson throws a head kick but Yamasaki moves out of range.
Yamasaki wants to clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jackson throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamasaki throws a body kick that misses and Jackson counters with a straight right hand. Jackson blocks a head kick by Yamasaki.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yamasaki dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Jackson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Yamasaki takes one on the button. Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Yamasaki tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Yamasaki throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease. Yamasaki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Yamasaki scores with a punch to the head. A low kick from Yamasaki is predictable there and Jackson counters with a series of strikes. Yamasaki will be more careful next time no doubt. The fight stays on the outside here - Yamasaki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Yamasaki on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Yamasaki is rocked! Jackson lands a right hook to the body.
Yamasaki looks winded! Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Yamasaki. Those never looked like landing. Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson throws a head kick that Yamasaki semi-blocks.
Yamasaki is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him? Jackson drops Yamasaki with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Yamasaki! Jackson dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Jackson! After the fight, Peter Jackson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
