Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kiyotaka Shimizu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Payet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jonathan Payet was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kiyotaka Shimizu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonathan Payet! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shimizu misses with a few strikes there.
Payet throws a shot to the body.

and Payet counters with a leg kick. Payet throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Shimizu throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Payet counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Payet has Shimizu up against the cage in a clinch.
Payet scores with a shoulder strike. Shimizu has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Payet after a bit of a struggle. Payet lands a big uppercut and Shimizu is down! He's in big trouble - Payet follows him to the mat!
Shimizu is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Payet sitting and controlling from the half guard. Oh Shimizu is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Shimizu seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shimizu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Payet tries to pass to full mount but Shimizu defends it. Payet not doing much here.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jonathan Payet. Payet takes the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Payet scores with a hook to the body. Payet lands with a right to the head. Payet lands a hook that snaps the head of Shimizu backwards. A body shot lands from Payet.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Payet creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! Shimizu goes for a takedown attempt but Payet pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Payet counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Payet. A nice left hand lands by Payet.
Payet lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Payet working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in the clinch, Payet scores with a nice short uppercut. Payet connects with a big uppercut there that sends Shimizu tumbling to the ground! Payet follows him down into his guard.
Payet controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Payet trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Payet seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Payet is pushing down on Shimizu's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shimizu is fighting to maintain full guard but Payet has managed to sneak the leg through. Still in half guard, Payet seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Payet not landing any meaningful shots this time. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Well, if Payet is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jonathan Payet. Shimizu rushes Payet and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathan Payet dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Payet fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shimizu, pushing him back against the cage. Payet scores with a nice hook to the head. A bit of stalling here from Payet.
Shimizu is looking to break free of the clinch but Payet has double underhooks. Shimizu takes a shot to the head. Shimizu wants to take the fight to the mat but Payet manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Payet pushes Shimizu back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Payet lands a right hand that snaps the head of Shimizu backwards. A frustrated look appears on Shimizu's face as he tries to break the clinch. Payet gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Shimizu.

That's one minute gone in the round. Payet creates a little bit of space and unloads with a massive uppercut! Shimizu drops to the mat, out cold! Wow, that was brutal! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jonathan Payet! Our winner, Jonathan Payet, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
