Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ok Ko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eulalio Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez wants to clinch
and Ko counters with a stiff right hand.

Ko softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
Gonzalez lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ko backwards.

Gonzalez is trying to push Ko away but Ko has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gonzalez wants to break free but Ko has control.
Ko tries to land a knee to the head but Gonzalez blocks with his arms.

The referee calls for Gonzalez to work.

Still in the clinch, Ko scores with a nice short uppercut.

Gonzalez is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.
Ko using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gonzalez has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Ko lands a left hand.
Gonzalez is trying to maintain a safe position but Ko gets an underhook and turns Gonzalez into the ropes.
Ko lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gonzalez backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ok Ko dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ok Ko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gonzalez tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Ko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gonzalez shoots in looking for a takedown. Ko tries to sprawl out of it but Gonzalez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Ko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ko throws out a loose jab but Gonzalez uses good head movement to avoid it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Ko counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ko sprawls well. Ko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gonzalez gets slowly back to his feet.

and Ko counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ko moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Ko is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gonzalez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ko keeps working.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ko is looking to reverse the position.
Ko takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gonzalez controls the position.
Ok Ko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ok Ko showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
