Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toni Hakkinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Toni Hakkinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jason Parker! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hakkinen counters with a single leg into guard. Parker didn't expect that. Parker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Parker performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Hakkinen is looking to improve his position.
Parker is looking to advance position but Hakkinen won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hakkinen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Parker thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hakkinen's head. Parker stalling. Parker prevents Hakkinen from improving his position. Parker works his way into full mount! Parker controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Parker with good strikes from the mount here! Parker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Parker landing strikes, looking to finish! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Parker scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hakkinen?
Parker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Parker is working for a guillotine from mount but Hakkinen frees his head quite easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Parker controlling from the full mount. Parker working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Parker is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hakkinen has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker is landing with some decent strikes but Hakkinen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Parker looking to secure an arm triangle but Hakkinen defends it well. Parker looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Jason Parker dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hakkinen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Parker counters with a nice body kick. Hakkinen stuffs the takedown attempt from Parker. Parker gets slowly back to his feet. Hakkinen lands a jab-cross combination. Parker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hakkinen but Hakkinen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Parker shoots in but Hakkinen avoids the takedown attempt easily. Toni Hakkinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Parker. Parker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hakkinen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hakkinen trying to remain calm as Parker controls from the top position. Hakkinen is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. A control attempt from Hakkinen but he's now mounted! Parker looking to control and managing it successfully. Hakkinen in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Parker working for a guillotine from mount but Hakkinen is in no mood to give up. Parker controlling the pace for now.

Hakkinen is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Parker is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hakkinen knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hakkinen for a finish. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parker slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Jason Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Hakkinen fails with a takedown attempt. Parker thumps Hakkinen with a low kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Parker. Parker decides to stand back up. Parker steps back and let's Hakkinen get back to his feet. Parker shoots for a double leg takedown but Hakkinen sprawls well. He's pushed Parker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Parker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Parker passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hakkinen! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Parker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Parker!
