Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keemiline Side (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Rasmussen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keemiline Side!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andreas Rasmussen!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Side looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rasmussen wants to stand but Side is controlling the position.
Side is looking to advance position but Rasmussen has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Rasmussen is looking to stand but Rasmussen has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Side has given up his back here.
Rasmussen is trying to stand.
Side looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Side turns into Rasmussen and is now in his guard.
Rasmussen is looking to stand up but Side isn't so interested in that idea.
Side knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rasmussen on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rasmussen pushes Side off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Side feints and as Rasmussen raises his hands in defense, Side changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Side wants to pass the guard but Rasmussen is keeping the position.
Side is looking to pass into half guard but Rasmussen pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rasmussen is in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rasmussen gets to his feet. Side looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Side shoots in for a takedown but Rasmussen shows good takedown defense.
Side keeps the fight on the outside.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rasmussen tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Side counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Side drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rasmussen dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Side is breathing heavily.
Rasmussen is looking to stand up but Side won't let him.

Side is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Side is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rasmussen defends well.

Side working for submissions but it's allowed Rasmussen to get to half guard.

Rasmussen tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Side.

Rasmussen postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Side to stand up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rasmussen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Side swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rasmussen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Side.
Rasmussen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Andreas Rasmussen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rasmussen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Andreas Rasmussen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rasmussen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Side swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Keemiline Side overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rasmussen is trying to stand up here but Side is controlling him well.

Rasmussen pushes Side off looking to stand but Side dives back in and keeps control.

Rasmussen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Side is proving hard to escape from.
Side is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rasmussen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Rasmussen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rasmussen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Side breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rasmussen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rasmussen doesn't manage to clinch there - Side circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Andreas Rasmussen will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Rasmussen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Side gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rasmussen regains guard.

Rasmussen parries the strikes from Side easily there. Side is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Rasmussen to escape.

Side tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Side has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Side is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rasmussen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rasmussen is trying to get back to his feet.

Side goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rasmussen rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Side's guard! Nice work there by Rasmussen!

Side looking for a guillotine here but Rasmussen defends easily.

Side escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rasmussen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Keemiline Side is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rasmussen moves in looking to clinch but Side pushes him off.
Rasmussen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Side paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Side throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Side has gone for a leg lock! Rasmussen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Side's guard.

Side working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Rasmussen has passed into half guard!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rasmussen prevents Side from standing back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Keemiline Side showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Rasmussen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
