Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doc Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes to the cage accompanied by Lunatic Fringe by Red Ryder. Summers comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Meatloaf: In The Land Of The Pigs kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Doc Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Summers! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Summers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thomas tries a low kick but Summers avoids it. Summers is looking to clinch. Summers wants to clinch. Thomas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Summers manages to avoid it. Summers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thomas.
Thomas misses with a low kick as Summers jumps back. Thomas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thomas moves out of range of the body kick from Summers.
Summers tries to clinch up. Thomas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Summers moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Summers looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Summers comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas misses with a takedown attempt - Summers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Summers is defended easily by Thomas. Summers throws an overhand right that lands on Thomas's shoulder, as Thomas tries to avoid the shot. Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Summers manages to avoid it. A looping hook to the body misses from Summers. Thomas does a little dance to reset his feet. Dylan Summers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thomas dives in and grabs Summers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Summers pushes down on Thomas's head and hops out. Thomas lands with a nice body punch. Thomas throws a jab but it's blocked by Summers. Thomas misses with an uppercut. A bone on bone clash there as Summers blocks the leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Summers fails in his attempt to clinch. Thomas swats away the attempt to clinch by Summers. Summers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thomas sprawls well initially but Summers persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Summers trying to control from half guard but Thomas is working away. Thomas is looking to improve his position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Thomas gets full guard. Thomas pulls Summers in close to prevent any damage. Summers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Thomas trying to keep a closed guard but Summers is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Doc Thomas wasn't doing enough on the ground. Summers uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thomas. Summers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Summers avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Summers keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Thomas. Thomas throws a hook but Summers avoids it easily. Thomas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Summers momentarily.
Summers lands a nice looking body shot.
Summers is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Summers manages to avoid it. Summers doesn't manage to clinch there - Thomas circles away.
Summers works Thomas's body with a nice hook. Thomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Summers moves away. Summers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Summers lands a head shot. Thomas takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Summers shoots in but no luck this time. Doc Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Summers. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Summers misses with an uppercut. A looping hook to the body misses from Thomas. Summers does a little dance to reset his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thomas will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Summers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thomas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Summers somewhat. Thomas is looking to wear down Summers with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Summers moves away from the strike by Thomas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Doc Thomas will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Summers misses the shot to the body. Summers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thomas defends it nicely. Summers shoots in but Thomas avoids the takedown attempt easily. Summers looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Thomas! Summers tries to move to mount but Thomas blocks the move with his legs. Thomas struggling a bit here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Thomas tries to improve position but can't. Summers cracks Thomas with an elbow. That is naaassty. Thomas is looking to reverse the position. Summers scoring with punches and elbows. Thomas manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Summers seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thomas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Thomas tries to roll over but Summers keeps him under control. Thomas is trying to control but can't.
Summers is taking a breather. Thomas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Thomas trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas wants to get back to full guard but Summers has passed into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Summers trying to control the action but Thomas is working from the bottom. Thomas is trying to control Summers's posture but Summers avoids it. Thomas controls the position for a moment. Summers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thomas keeps working. Thomas regains half guard. Summers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thomas keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thomas wants to control from the top but Summers keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thomas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Thomas is looking to work some ground and pound but Summers has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Dylan Summers will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Summers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Summers tries to clinch but Thomas is having none of it. Thomas jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Thomas lands a jab to Summers's midsection. Summers thows a left - swing and a miss! Summers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Summers takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Thomas misses with a straight left. Summers clinches up with Thomas and pushes him back against the cage. Summers swings wildly with an uppercut but Thomas uses good head movement to avoid it. Summers has Thomas pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Summers pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Thomas tumbling to the mat - Summers dives into Thomas's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Thomas looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summers with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Summers wants to control from the top but Thomas keeps moving. Summers is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Thomas managing to control the position. Thomas looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Thomas throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Thomas is looking for a triangle but Summers pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas has control of Summers's left arm, preventing Summers from doing any damage. Summers is in close to Thomas's body, working some short punches and elbows. Thomas looking for a guillotine here but Summers defends easily.

Summers is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Summers keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Thomas's head.

Thomas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Summers trying to control but Thomas is working from the bottom. Summers postures up in Thomas's guard and throws a big left but Thomas blocks it. Summers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Thomas is adopting a defensive guard. Thomas is trying to control the position but Summers postures up.

We're going to have a standup here because Doc Thomas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Thomas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thomas thows a body shot but no joy. Thomas looks to score with a jab to the body but Summers is just out of range. The fighters circling - Thomas throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Summers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Thomas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Summers controls the position from side control. Thomas wants to control but Summers postures up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Summers tries to move into full mount but can't pass Thomas's legs.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dylan Summers. I think Summers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
