Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Waldorf Astoria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Domingo Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Astoria kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Waltz from Les Sylphides. Domingo Perez has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astoria throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Astoria tries to clinch up.
Astoria pivots, looking for a leg kick but Perez is out of range and Astoria settles back down.
Astoria misses with a body shot.
Perez throws a shot from downtown. Astoria moves away and avoids it.
Perez looks to score with a jab to the body but Astoria is just out of range.
Decent striking displayed by Perez there.
Astoria uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Perez.
Perez catches Astoria with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Astoria swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Astoria tries to clinch up but Perez circles away and keeps his distance.
Perez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Astoria momentarily.
An inside leg kick from Astoria misses.
Astoria has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Perez finds it's way round the side to connect with Astoria's head.

Astoria throws a half hearted mid kick.
Perez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Perez showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Perez wants to pass the guard but Astoria is defending well.

Perez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Astoria is desperately trying to improve his position but Perez has a good base and remains in mount.
Astoria knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Perez on the ground.

Perez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Astoria's face.

Perez postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Astoria in real trouble here! The ref calls for Astoria to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
