Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taj Mahal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Trick Daddy - Let's Go ft Twista & Lil Jon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 21 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oscar Diaz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Taj Mahal!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahal misses with a leg kick
and Diaz counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A swing and a miss from Mahal.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mahal crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Diaz - the referee stops the clock and Mahal gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Diaz. Mahal manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Diaz tries to clinch up.
Mahal walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Diaz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mahal throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely.

Diaz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Diaz wants the takedown. Mahal is fighting it off but Diaz persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mahal's guard against the cage.

That was a close round but Oscar Diaz did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Diaz is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mahal can't fight it off and eventually Diaz manages to take the fight to the floor. Mahal looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
