Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Javier Casados!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casados closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Johnson's guard.
Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Casados gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Casados drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Casados has Johnson in his guard.

Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Casados slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard.
Casados is pushing down on Johnson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnson is fighting to maintain full guard but Casados has managed to sneak the leg through.
Johnson is trying to get back to full guard.
Johnson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Casados pulls his head out easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Casados presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

It looks like John Johnson has been cut.
Casados is landing with some decent strikes but Johnson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Casados has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Johnson's face.
That has opened up John Johnson's cut even more.
Casados working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Casados working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is in no mood to give up.
Casados cracks Johnson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Johnson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Casados wants to finish this one by submission but Johnson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Casados.
Casados is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Johnson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Johnson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Casados throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Johnson because Casados loaded up on that one.
Johnson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Casados lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Casados mounts Johnson! Really nice guard pass there!
Casados is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Johnson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Johnson regains half guard.
Johnson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnson.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Javier Casados dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John Johnson's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Casados feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Casados stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Casados drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Casados jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Casados throws a big right hand that misses.
Johnson wants to sweep here but Casados controlling him for the moment.
Johnson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Johnson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Casados rolls with it to try and escape but Johnson cranks on the arm and Casados is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
