Costas's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Costas duly obliges.
Holmes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Holmes is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Costas has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Costas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Holmes misses with the ground and pound.

Costas tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Holmes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Holmes thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The ground and pound from Holmes seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Holmes has hold of Costas's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Costas tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Holmes cranks the arm and Costas screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Costas, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
