Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Cain Velasqs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Odin Fredriksson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fredriksson avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Fredriksson shoots in and bounces Velasqs off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Fredriksson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Velasqs is keeping the position for now. Fredriksson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Velasqs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fredriksson has managed to get both his arms back between Velasqs's legs - danger averted. Velasqs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fredriksson postures up and lands a big shot to Velasqs's brow. Velasqs is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Velasqs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Velasqs controlling Fredriksson's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasqs avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Fredriksson is pushing down on Velasqs's leg trying to pass to half guard. Velasqs is fighting to maintain full guard but Fredriksson has managed to sneak the leg through. Fredriksson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Fredriksson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fredriksson is trying to control. Velasqs wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Velasqs wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Velasqs trying to hold on to Fredriksson's head to control him but Fredriksson postures up.
Fredriksson trying to pass the guard but Velasqs defending well. Fredriksson is looking to stall here but Velasqs recovers full guard. Fredriksson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Fredriksson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Fredriksson is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fredriksson trying to mount his opponent but Velasqs defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fredriksson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Fredriksson is looking to advance position but Velasqs won't allow it. Velasqs is trying to control but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fredriksson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Fredriksson wants to take a breather but Velasqs is having none of it. Velasqs blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fredriksson. Fredriksson is trying to control the action in half guard but Velasqs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Velasqs has one foot on Fredriksson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fredriksson throws a leg kick and Velasqs makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Velasqs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fredriksson. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fredriksson lands a jab to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Odin Fredriksson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Velasqs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fredriksson throws a right hand that Velasqs ducks under and follows up with a left that Velasqs also avoids with ease. Velasqs throws a leg kick which misses Fredriksson's front leg but catches the back leg as Fredriksson tries to avoid it. Fredriksson throws a right and a left that Velasqs avoids nicely. It looks like Cain Velasqs has been cut. That kick from Velasqs tenderised Fredriksson's leg. Fredriksson is trying to keep his angry face on. Velasqs misses with a body punch
and Fredriksson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Velasqs! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fredriksson looking to control but Velasqs is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Odin Fredriksson has got the better of the ground game so far. Velasqs in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. BOOM! Fredriksson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Fredriksson wants to work for an arm triangle but Velasqs is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fredriksson thows a huge punch but Velasqs dodges it nicely.

Fredriksson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Velasqs keeps working. Velasqs keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Cain Velasqs just wasn't active enough. Fredriksson fails to land with a series of punches.
Sloppy strikes from Fredriksson. Those never looked like landing. Cain Velasqs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fredriksson moves out of range of the body kick. Fredriksson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Velasqs's guard. Fredriksson throws an elbow that misses. Velasqs uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fredriksson's guard. Nice move by Velasqs! Velasqs prevents Fredriksson from getting back to his feet. Fredriksson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fredriksson is looking to stand back up but Velasqs counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Fredriksson. Velasqs prevents Fredriksson from improving his position. Velasqs is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Velasqs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Velasqs with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Odin Fredriksson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Cain Velasqs's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Fredriksson looking to sit in guard and control but Velasqs gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Velasqs trying to control the position from guard on top but Fredriksson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Velasqs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fredriksson is keeping the position for now. Fredriksson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Velasqs is one step ahead there. Cain Velasqs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Fredriksson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Velasqs sprawls well initially but Fredriksson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fredriksson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Velasqs keeps working. Fredriksson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Velasqs is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fredriksson scores with a couple of nice shots. Velasqs slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Fredriksson trying to control the position from guard on top but Velasqs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fredriksson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Odin Fredriksson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Fredriksson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Velasqs escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fredriksson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that's the end of the fight! Odin Fredriksson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Fredriksson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
