Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Ivan Olivero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apollo Takamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apollo Takamura is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takamura connects with a looping right hand.
Olivero loads up on a big right hand but Takamura slips the punch.
No joy there for Takamura, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Takamura ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Olivero throws a jab but it's blocked by Takamura.
Takamura staying out of range there.
Olivero misses with a straight right.
Olivero throws a lazy uppercut
and Takamura counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Olivero thows a body shot but no joy.
Olivero misses with a left hand
and Takamura counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Olivero on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Ivan Olivero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takamura uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Olivero.
Takamura slips under a jab.
Olivero takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Takamura misses with the combination.
Takamura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Olivero circles away quickly and effectively.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Takamura.
Olivero dodges the punch combination from Takamura.
Olivero thuds his right hand into Takamura's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Olivero will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Olivero is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Takamura's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Olivero ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Takamura moves away.
Takamura throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Olivero.
Takamura takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Takamura counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takamura throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Olivero.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Takamura uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Olivero.
Olivero fails to land with a series of punches.
Takamura closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Olivero throws a shot from downtown. Takamura moves away and avoids it.
Takamura needs to keep his hands up - Olivero had a free shot at his head there.

Olivero swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Olivero rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Takamura moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Takamura throws a nice looking combination but Olivero bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Olivero takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Olivero rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Takamura counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Olivero is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Olivero is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Takamura attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Takamura walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
