Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Will Riker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lord Takedown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riker comes to the cage accompanied by TNG - Intro. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Riker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lord Takedown!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riker tries for a takedown but Takedown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Riker fails with a takedown attempt.

Riker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Takedown napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Takedown can't do much from the bottom here.
Riker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Takedown is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Takedown wants to control but Riker postures up.

Riker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Takedown has escaped the position, nice work there.
Takedown tries to bench press Riker off him but Riker keeps the position.

Riker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Takedown is looking for a sweep.
Takedown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Takedown is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Riker is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Takedown is trying to escape the mount but Riker keeps good control and instead manages to take Takedown's back.
Riker misses with a punch to the head.
Takedown holding both Riker 's hands and preventing any damage.
Takedown tries to roll but Riker sticks to his back.

Riker has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Takedown has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Takedown rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Takedown is trying to get back to full guard.
Takedown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Riker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Takedown can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takedown is looking for a sweep. Riker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Takedown is not content to let Riker control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Riker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Takedown circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Riker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riker shoots in for a double leg but Takedown sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Riker moves out of range as Takedown strikes.
Riker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Takedown counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Takedown slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
This has been an exciting period of action!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lord Takedown hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Riker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Takedown pinned against the cage. Takedown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riker keeps the fight on the outside.
Riker shoots in and drives through. Takedown sprawls well.
Riker tries for a takedown but Takedown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Riker gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Takedown to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Riker is breathing heavily.
Takedown stands up over Riker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Takedown controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lord Takedown dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Takedown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Takedown is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Takedown stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Riker throws up his legs and catches Takedown in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Takedown tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Riker! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Will Riker!
A very excited looking Will Riker made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
