Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski comes into the arena with Harvey - Get up and move blaring out of the sound system. Simmons is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Levels. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 2, fighting out of London, Shawn Kowalski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Al Simmons! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simmons tries a head kick but it misses.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Simmons. Kowalski goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. No luck with that takedown attempt from Simmons. Simmons tries a head kick but it misses.
Simmons is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Simmons throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kowalski avoids the head kick by Simmons.
A head kick by Simmons misses and Kowalski counters with a three punch combo that has Simmons backing up. Simmons nods at Kowalski to acknowledge the strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Simmons looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kowalski closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kowalski jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Simmons walks away with a smile on his face. Kowalski gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A looping hook to the body misses from Simmons. Kowalski does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kowalski moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kowalski lands a glancing blow to the side of Simmons's head. Simmons shoots in but no luck this time. Simmons is looking to land body kicks. Kowalski throws a wild body kick that Simmons sees coming a mile off. Simmons tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kowalski lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Kowalski slaps away a takedown attempt from Simmons, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kowalski scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Kowalski blocks the body kick.

and Kowalski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kowalski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Simmons defends it nicely. Simmons will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kowalski misses with a wild combination.

Simmons tries to clinch up but Kowalski circles away and keeps his distance. Simmons lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kowalski takes a step back to recover. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kowalski instigates a clinch. Kowalski wants to break free but Simmons has control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Shawn Kowalski will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Simmons wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kowalski keeps working. Kowalski regains half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Kowalski manages to regain full guard. Nice work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kowalski is on top in guard.

Kowalski tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Simmons manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Simmons misses with a head kick.

That will dishearten Simmons somewhat. Simmons takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Simmons misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Simmons working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Simmons throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Kowalski works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Simmons throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kowalski is trying to stand.
Simmons is looking for a kimura here.
Kowalski actively working from the bottom here. Shawn Kowalski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Simmons is working for an americana but Kowalski has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Simmons was thinking about the submission.
And that's the end of the fight! Al Simmons comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kowalski has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
