The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medvidovic displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson.
Medvidovic throws a wild body kick that Johnson sees coming a mile off.

Medvidovic stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Medvidovic wants it to stay on the feet.
Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Medvidovic tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Medvidovic to the ground. Medvidovic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Medvidovic.
Dino Medvidovic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Medvidovic which made him look bad.
Medvidovic closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Johnson takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Johnson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Medvidovic is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Johnson.
Medvidovic works Johnson's body with a nice hook.
Johnson shoots in but Medvidovic avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Medvidovic lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnson at a distance.
Medvidovic rushes Johnson with punches - Johnson moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Johnson goes down! Medvidovic follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dino Medvidovic!
Dino Medvidovic decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
