Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brett Riverboat!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Poldi!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poldi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Poldi throwing strikes but Riverboat manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Poldi has one of Riverboat's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Poldi tries to bench press Riverboat off him but Riverboat keeps the position.

Poldi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Poldi is looking for a sweep. Riverboat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jack Poldi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Riverboat throws out a loose jab but Poldi uses good head movement to avoid it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jack Poldi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Riverboat has closed the distance and engaged Poldi in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riverboat lands a big uppercut and Poldi crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Poldi looks OK. Riverboat waves Poldi back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Poldi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Riverboat comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Riverboat throws an elbow but it misses.

Poldi tries for a takedown but Riverboat manages to get underhooks.

Riverboat pushes Poldi against the cage. Riverboat is working some dirty boxing. Riverboat pushes off with a quick right hook! Poldi goes down! Poldi tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Riverboat moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brett Riverboat!
