Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gene Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Lange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gene Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ted Lange! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lange misses with an attempted mid kick.
Anderson clinches up with Lange and pushes him back against the cage. Lange is looking to break free of the clinch but Anderson has double underhooks. Anderson has Lange pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lange manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Lange taking a breather. Anderson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Anderson managing to control the position. Anderson wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lange is now in half guard. Lange is trying to control. Anderson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson is controlling Lange's position as best he can from this difficult position. Anderson wants to sweep but Lange has passed to side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is trying to improve his position. Lange decides to stand back up. Lange steps back and let's Anderson get back to his feet. Lange shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Anderson's guard. Lange trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom. Lange working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lange trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lange throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lange wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ted Lange hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Anderson throws a nice looking combination but Lange bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lange misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lange doesn't succeed with the takedown and Anderson counters with a nice double leg into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lange has his foot on Anderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Anderson works his way back into a safe position though. Lange is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson is looking to work some ground and pound but Lange has wrist control. Anderson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Anderson postures up in Lange's guard and throws a big left but Lange blocks it. Anderson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Anderson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Anderson misses with a takedown attempt - Lange sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lange wants to clinch and Anderson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lange's guard now. Lange bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Anderson's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Anderson keeping moving, preventing Lange from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lange slips nicely into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson is staying active underneath Lange, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Anderson is trying to get back to full guard. Anderson wants to control but Lange is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lange seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Anderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lange moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Anderson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gene Anderson will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Anderson rushes Lange and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Anderson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lange throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson moves out of range easily. Anderson has managed to clinch.

Lange loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lange gets to his feet. Anderson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Lange is looking to land body kicks. Lange moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Lange throws a head kick that Anderson semi-blocks.
Anderson swats away the attempt to clinch by Lange. Anderson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Anderson lands a nice hook to Lange's body. Lange takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Anderson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lange shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Lange displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Anderson. and Anderson counters by moving into the clinch. Anderson manages to break the clinch.

He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lange! Anderson trying to control but Lange is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson raining down shots from the mount! Anderson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lange is now in Anderson's guard. A big mistake from Anderson there, giving up the dominant position! Lange stops Anderson from standing up. Lange won't allow Anderson to sweep him here. Anderson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lange is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Lange throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Anderson actively working from the bottom here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lange wants to take a breather but Anderson is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gene Anderson dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Lange misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lange sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gene Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Anderson drives through with a takedown into guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lange is on top in guard.

Lange throws a big elbow that misses. Lange wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving. Lange wants to get up but he can't break Anderson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lange trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom. Lange shoots in looking for a takedown but Anderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lange's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lange shoots for a double leg takedown but Anderson sprawls well. He's pushed Lange's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lange tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance. Lange closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Anderson jumps guard.
Anderson has his hands on Lange's head, controlling the position. Lange pushes down on Anderson's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lange is thwarting Anderson's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lange wants to stand up but Anderson has a hold of him and won't allow it. Lange is keen to just control but Anderson is a slippery customer. Lange stops Anderson from getting back to his feet.
Anderson tries to roll over but Lange keeps him under control. Lange wants to work for an arm triangle but Anderson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ted Lange has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gene Anderson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lange is trying to work for a kimura but Anderson is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! Ted Lange comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Anderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
