Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holden James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James has chosen Aerials as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Holden James is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia misses with a takedown attempt
and James counters with a body kick that stops Maia in his tracks momentarily.
James scores with a nice strike.
James cracks Maia with a right hand to the side of the head.
James moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maia misses with a takedown attempt
and James counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! James looks at the referee who does nothing so James lands a crushing right that sends Maia to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Holden James!
After the fight, Holden James was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
