Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bill Paroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Obadiah Klinefelter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klinefelter has chosen Star Wars as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Obadiah Klinefelter! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paroni cracks Klinefelter with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Klinefelter closes the distance but Paroni moves to the side and Paroni counters with a left to the body. Paroni jabs at Klinefelter's body. Paroni scores with a crisp jab that stopped Klinefelter in his tracks. Klinefelter gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Paroni makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Paroni. Paroni controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paroni wants to sweep here but Klinefelter controlling him for the moment. Klinefelter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Paroni tries to land a sweep but no joy. Paroni seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Klinefelter scoring with some ground and pound. Klinefelter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Klinefelter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Paroni has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Klinefelter has managed to get both his arms back between Paroni's legs - danger averted. Klinefelter trying to control the position from guard on top but Paroni is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Paroni holds on and takes a little breather. Klinefelter controlling from the top position. Paroni is trying to control the position but Klinefelter postures up. Paroni lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Klinefelter! Paroni moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Klinefelter has worked his arm free - good work by Klinefelter!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Klinefelter is looking to regain half guard here but Paroni keeps moving and retains side control. Paroni wants to control but Klinefelter is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paroni tries to move into full mount but can't pass Klinefelter's legs. Paroni tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Paroni has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Paroni wants to control but Klinefelter is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Klinefelter is letting Paroni control him for a moment. Paroni creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Paroni taking a break here but Klinefelter is having none of it and regains half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Klinefelter tries to roll over but Paroni keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill Paroni dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A combination from Paroni does no damage. Paroni moves out of range of the body kick. A jab from Paroni does it's job there. Paroni ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Klinefelter moves away. Paroni with a hook. Klinefelter wants to clinch. Paroni cracks a nice hook into Klinefelter's ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klinefelter defending well as Paroni loads up on a big left hand. Paroni takes a swing at Klinefelter's ribcage but misses. Bill Paroni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Klinefelter moves to clinch but Paroni breaks away and Paroni counters with a right hand to the body. Paroni throws a nice outside leg kick. Paroni thuds a left hand into Klinefelter's body.

and Paroni counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Paroni looks to score with a jab to the body but Klinefelter is just out of range. Paroni connects with a body shot that sends Klinefelter's belly button to the back. Paroni is looking to wear down Klinefelter with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Klinefelter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A nice inside leg kick there by Paroni. That's going to slow Klinefelter down. Obadiah Klinefelter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice straight punches there by Paroni. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Paroni. Paroni connects with a body shot. A nice leg kick lands there from Paroni.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paroni swings away with a leg kick that misses. Paroni with a jab. Paroni throws a body kick that misses. A decent looking body kick lands there for Paroni. Bill Paroni is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Klinefelter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paroni moves away. The fight moves into the clinch position. Klinefelter's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Klinefelter tries to stall but Paroni uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Paroni tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Klinefelter avoids it. Klinefelter throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Klinefelter stalling in the clinch but Paroni improves position. A battle for position here, against the cage. Klinefelter creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Klinefelter tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Paroni avoids it. Paroni pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Paroni is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Klinefelter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Paroni thows a body kick. Klinefelter tries to catch it but that hurt him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Paroni lands with a nice body punch. Paroni scores with a head kick.

Paroni throws a body kick that misses. Paroni lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Paroni, as that shot connected.

Klinefelter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Paroni bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Klinefelter's head backwards. Bill Paroni is winning the standup battle so far. A looping hook to the body misses from Paroni. Klinefelter does a little dance to reset his feet. Paroni lands an overhand right. A combination from Paroni does no damage. Paroni misses with a shot to the body and Klinefelter counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Paroni is lucky that one didn't land flush. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Paroni looks to score with a jab to the body but Klinefelter is just out of range. Paroni uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Paroni works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Klinefelter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Klinefelter counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Paroni has had enough of the clinch but Klinefelter keeps him there for the moment. Klinefelter blocks a body shot from Paroni.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Klinefelter doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

It looks like Bill Paroni has been cut. Klinefelter tries to throw a body punch but Paroni avoids it by throwing Klinefelter back against the cage. Paroni is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Klinefelter can do to turn this around? Paroni takes an elbow to the forehead. Paroni landing some nice looking knees to the body.

That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Klinefelter gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Bill Paroni is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Klinefelter avoids the elbow strike from Paroni, against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Bill Paroni showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Paroni, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
