Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. Hunt is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Smells Like Teen Spirit. The key to victory for Nate Barnes has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Barnes throws a low kick, looking for Hunt's leg but Hunt calmly moves out of range.
Barnes jabs Hunt to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Barnes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hunt's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Barnes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hunt's knee momentarily.

Mike Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Nate Barnes will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Barnes throws a push kick but Hunt slaps the foot to one side.

Hunt rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Barnes counters with a right hand to the body.

Barnes fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hunt has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hunt with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barnes to score with a decent uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hunt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barnes swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Barnes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hunt. That did some damage!
Barnes lands a really nice looking cross but Hunt seems unphased.
Barnes's corner calls for a 1-2. Barnes obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Good leg kick by Barnes there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

A looping hook to the body misses from Barnes. Hunt does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hunt shoots in and drives through. Barnes sprawls well.
Barnes looks to score with a jab to the body but Hunt is just out of range.
Hunt moves out of range of the leg kick from Barnes.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Barnes lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hunt has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hunt and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That's time! Barnes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
