Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clinton Davies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oda Hattori!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Davies works Hattori's body with a nice hook.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hattori.
Hattori blocks a low kick nicely.
Hattori scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Davies closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hattori is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Hattori avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Davies.

Davies throws a strike aimed at the side of Hattori's head but Hattori avoids it well.
Davies is looking to take a break and control but Hattori is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Davies creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hattori sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hattori is not content to let Davies control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davies tries to score with some ground and pound. Hattori controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Davies in side control, throwing shots but Hattori defends.
Hattori pushes Davies away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Davies gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Hattori wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Davies throws an elbow but Hattori slips to the side and avoids it well.
Davies scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hattori to see if he's OK.
Davies creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Davies cracks Hattori with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Davies immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Hattori is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Davies!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clinton Davies!
Our winner, Clinton Davies, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
