Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Gator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyc Oon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Gator!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyc Oon!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gator displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Oon.
Gator scores with a body shot.
Oon scores with a kick to the body.
Gator lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The fight stays on the outside here - Oon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Oon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gator as he jumps to the side.
Gator stuns Oon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oon tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oon slips a jab and a cross from Gator.
Gator rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Oon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gator misses with a series of wild punches.
Gator tries to close the distance and clinch but Oon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gator shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gator was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Oon struggling a bit here.

Oon parries the strikes from Gator easily there. Gator is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Oon to escape.
Oon managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Gator.

Gator tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gator has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gator looks up at the clock and then as Oon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gator smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Gator is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Oon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Oon tries to improve position but can't.

Gator tries for a kimura but Oon is defending well.

Sloppy strikes there by Gator.
You can see the frustration on Oon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oon is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Gator postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Gator looks up at the clock and then as Oon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gator smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Oon defending against the ground and pound.
Oon regains half guard, as Gator was trying to land strikes.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Gator throwing shots but Oon is blocking nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gator lands a nice short elbow.
Oon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gator is working away from the top position though.
Gator working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Oon's thigh. Oon counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Gator wants to pass the guard but Oon is keeping the position.

Gator trying to control but Oon is working from the bottom.
Oon has momentary wrist control but Gator slips an elbow through the middle.
Oon keeping moving, preventing Gator from controlling successfully.
Oon is trying to control the position but Gator postures up.
Gator is looking to work some ground and pound but Oon has wrist control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gator ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Oon moves away.

Gator decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gator landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Oon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Gator is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Oon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Oon has escaped and now he's on top!

Bob Gator overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Oon's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Oon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Oon throws a big right hand that misses.
Oon postures up in Gator's guard and throws a big left but Gator blocks it.
Oon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gator tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Gator looking for a guillotine here but Oon defends easily.
Oon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Gator working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Oon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Oon works over Gator with some ground and pound from guard.
Oon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bob Gator will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Oon tries to clinch there but Gator circles away.
Gator connects with a leg kick. Oon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gator shoots in for a takedown but Oon shows good takedown defense.
No luck for Oon with that takedown attempt.

Gator shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Oon is trying to defend but Gator finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Gator looks to land a strike but Oon avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Gator throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Oon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Gator throws a strike but Oon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Oon stands up over Gator, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gator manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Oon manages to get himself to full guard.

Gator wants to work for an arm triangle but Oon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Oon wants to get back to full guard.
Bob Gator is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Gator is taking a breather. Oon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well Gator has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
