Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Augello! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raoul Duke! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duke takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Duke slips under a jab from Augello. Duke blocks a jab. Duke just misses with a punch to the body.
Augello throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Augello moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. James Augello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Augello looks to land a combination but Duke avoids it well. Duke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Augello swats him away and circles back towards the center. Some wild striking there from Duke.
Duke throws a combination that misses and Augello counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duke connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Augello's hands. Duke drives through and clinches with Augello against the cage.
Duke misses with a hook from the clinch. A right hand to the body from Augello.
Duke looks winded! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Augello breaks from the clinch.
Augello takes a swing at Duke's ribcage but misses. Augello takes a swing at Duke's ribcage but misses. Augello goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Augello just misses with a punch to the body.
Duke takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Duke throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Augello.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Augello cracks Duke with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Duke takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Augello throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Duke counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Duke scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Augello throws a leg kick which misses Duke's front leg but catches the back leg as Duke tries to avoid it. Duke misses with a straight left. Augello cracks a nice hook into Duke's ribs. Augello keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Duke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Augello connects with a crisp jab. Augello connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Augello connects with a single shot there. Duke missing with a left hand there. Augello was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters circle momentarily. Augello darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Augello scores with a jab. Duke acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Duke with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Augello to score with a decent uppercut. Duke tries to clinch up. Augello just misses with a punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Augello ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A looping hook to the body misses from Augello. Duke does a little dance to reset his feet. Augello thows a body shot but no joy. Augello lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Duke at a distance.
Augello feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Duke's calf. Duke dodges the punch combination from Augello.
Duke walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Augello scores with a jab to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Augello dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Augello drops Duke with a beautiful combination! Duke stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Augello is looking for the KO! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Augello walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Duke drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Augello swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Duke's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
